Our otolaryngologists at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital are physicians who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat and neck. Our physicians see a variety of patients of different ages with a wide spectrum of conditions. Some of the younger children seen often develop middle ear infections. Frequent or severe episodes can result in a hearing deficit that can impair development of speech and language skills. Some serious conditions, such as narrowed or blocked air passages, can sometimes be life-threatening.
Additionally, our physicians are involved in multidisciplinary team efforts for care of children at Hope Children's Hospital through such programs as the cleft palate clinic, as well as others.
