orthopedics

The orthopaedics division at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital specializes in the care of children with orthopaedic problems, ranging from broken bones to congenital orthopaedic abnormalities. Services include treatment of: developmental and congenital deformities of the upper and lower extremities, congenital dislocation of the hip, club feet, scoliosis, kyphosis, pediatric fractures and trauma, muscular dystrophy and musculoskeletal effects of cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Consultation, evaluation or treatment in the areas of pediatric and adolescent sports medicine is also available.

The pediatric orthopaedic specialist coordinates and participates in treatment throughout the continuum of care, including rehabilitation and follow-up visits. The division of orthopaedics at Hope Children's Hospital also practices an open communication philosophy, placing a high priority on being a consultative resource for primary care physicians and patient families.
