Infectious Disease

Preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic services are available in inpatient and outpatient areas of Advocate Hope Children's Hospital 24-hours a day. Consultation capabilities include the entire spectrum of infections: acute, chronic, bacterial, viral, fungal, mycobacterial, and parasitic. Diagnostic and therapeutic services are also provided for home management of infections. The service is tailored to the individual patient to ensure optimal coordination of care.

The infectious disease division also offers a community education program for adolescents, parents or school administrators that addresses issues on infection control.
