Training Opportunities at the PDC: Early Intervention and Over 3 Population

Additional trainings are often added throughout the year. Stay tuned for upcoming training opportunities!

Training Opportunities for ADI-R and ADOS instruments at the Pediatric Developmental Center

For those who have already been trained in the ADOS, we will be hosting a 2-day booster training in the fall to include ADOS-2 administration, coding, and scoring improvements as well as training in the Toddler Module. Please see dates below.

Dr. Valeria Nanclares-Nogues, is offering specialized training in the use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Revised (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised at the Pediatric Developmental Center, AIMMC, in Chicago. Dr. Nanclares-Nogues will provide the didactic training for these instruments and supervise the small groups. She is a Certified Independent Trainer for the ADOS-2 and ADI-R and was trained by Drs. Cathy Lord and Michael Rutter, developers of the instruments.

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule Revised (ADOS-2)

The ADOS-2 is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, and play or imaginative use of materials used with individuals suspected of having autism or an autism spectrum disorder. The ADOS-2 can be used to evaluate individuals at different developmental levels and chronological ages, from toddlers to adults, from individuals with no speech to those who are verbally fluent. It takes about 30-45 minutes to administer.

The training will be held at the Pediatric Developmental Center in Chicago, which sponsors our Autism Treatment Program. Participants in this special training will be provided the following unique training opportunities:

  • Outstanding leadership
  • Intensive, small group and individual supervision in administration of all four modules
  • opportunity to administer the ADOS to children on the spectrum
