Chicago, Ill. – April 26, 2013 – For the second consecutive year, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center has been recognized as an Environmental Leadership Circle Award recipient by Practice Greenhealth, a national organization for health care facilities committed to environmentally responsible operations.

- recycle at least 25 percent of their waste stream
- hold regulated medical waste to 8 percent or less
- have implemented numerous other innovative pollution-prevention programs
- be leaders in their community
Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, Ill., also received the honor. In addition, for the fourth consecutive year, Advocate Health Care won Practice Greenhealth’s System for Change Award.
