Kathleen M. Scarpulla, MD, combines a specialist's skill with a personal touch in her care for patients at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s Vision Correction Center.
After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Scarpulla received her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, where she also interned and completed her ophthalmology residency, serving as chief resident. Dr. Scarpulla then completed a fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Eye Center. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Scarpulla is a clinical instructor at Northwestern University and a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American College of Eye Surgeons.
One of the Doctors Who Make History Dr. Scarpulla is one of the first surgeons in Chicago trained in laser vision correction, Intacs and refractive cataract surgery. She has been named by the Consumers Research Council of America as one of the country's top ophthalmologists.
