Richard F. Dennis, M.D.

Dr. Richard Dennis is a Cambridge, MA, native who grew up in Glen Ellyn. He earned a Bachelor of the Arts degree from DePauw University in Indiana and received his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. Following graduation, Dr. Dennis completed an internship and ophthalmology residency at the Valley Medical Center in Fresno, CA, and a subsequent fellowship in cornea-external diseases at the Francis I. Proctor Foundation, University of California at San Francisco Medical Center. During this period, Dr. Dennis also served in the U.S. Air Force as a flight surgeon based at March Air Force Base in Riverside, CA.

Maintaining practices in Chicago and Highland Park for more than 25 years, Dr. Dennis’ specialties include refractive and laser corneal surgery, ocular immunology, Herpes simplex ocular disease, and complications of intraocular lens implants. He is a frequent lecturer in these topics and many others.
