Objective:
In offering their time and talents, volunteers make a significant contribution to the care we provide at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. We greatly appreciate our volunteers and truly desire to see them learn and grow. In addition, our volunteer program coordinators work diligently with our volunteers to place them in areas that match their talents, interests and objectives. The goal of the volunteer office is to match the needs of the hospital with the objectives of the volunteers.

General Volunteer Program

The general volunteer program is hosting an open house in the volunteer office on Saturday, June 1st from 11:00am - 3:30pm. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, please drop by. Light refreshments will be served.

Physician Volunteer Program

Pre-Health Volunteer Program

Summer Program 2013

Registration for the summer pre-health program is closed. Please do not come to the hospital to sign up - as all slots have been filled, including slots on the waiting list. Please continue to check this website for additional information.

Advocate Illinois Masonic Pre-Health volunteer program will begin accepting in-person applications for the summer Pre-Health session (June 1st through Sep 9th) from 9:00am - 3:00pm from Monday, May 6th through Friday, May 24th.  In order to participate in the summer program, applicants must sign up in person (with the exemption of siblings who can sign up for one another) and attend a mandatory orientation on either Saturday, June 1st from 1:00pm - 4:30pm or Monday, June 3rd from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Please note there are a limited number of available timeslots, and they are filled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Pre-Health General Information

Volunteers are scheduled in 4-hour timeslots throughout the day, starting with a 6:00am - 10:00am timeslot, until the final shift from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. You must be able to commit to at least one full 4-hour timeslot on a weekly basis in order to be considered for participation. New volunteers are unable to sign up for weekend or evening shifts.
