Children's Health Resource Center

At Advocate Children's Hospitals, we understand the important role families play in helping children stay healthy, and in healing when they are ill. Our children's health resource centers provide information on preventive care and treatment of simple and complex health conditions, so parents can become informed about family health issues. We also offer parents the opportunity to conduct specific health research, or work with our health staff to better understand current treatments.

Parents have access to the Internet, a video library, books, journals, audiotapes, interactive CD-ROMs, newsletters, resource lists and professional texts. Parents are also provided with resources, such as local and national support group information, and hospital-based programs, classes and screenings. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate improved communication between physicians, parents and patients.
