 Patients, ages ten to twenty-one years of age, who are anticipating surgery are encouraged to participate in the adolescent pre-surgical tour offered by the Teen Life program. The adolescent pre-surgical tour helps alleviate anxiety and prepare patients and their families for surgery by familiarizing them with the surgical environment. The pre-surgical tour includes a guided tour of the pre-surgery area, adolescent unit, surgical suite, recovery room, family waiting areas and other key locations in the hospital. A teen life specialist shares information with patients and family members about what to expect the day of surgery.
Tour Schedule
Tours are offered most Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Registration is required.
