Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit

Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital offers a separate child and adolescent psychiatry unit for children ages 5 to 17 requiring short-term, acute care for psychiatric disorders. The treatment team of psychiatrists, psychologists, medical specialists, addiction counselors, psychiatric social workers, nurses, counselors and educational specialists provides a full range of services.

Following treatment, patients are transitioned to an appropriate level of care, such as a day hospital program, and have access to a full range of community services.
