Construction of new patient/visitor parking garage at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital

In response to requests from our patients and visitors to increase parking on Lutheran General's campus, the hospital has begun construction of a 550-space parking garage. The new garage will be located south of Dempster Street (between the Lutheran General Cancer Care Center and the Lutheran General Adult Down Syndrome Center) on a site currently occupied by two surface parking lots.

During the nine-to-12-month construction period, patients and visitors who currently use these surface parking areas will need to park in other campus garages and lots:

North Dempster Garage
North Dempster Surface Lot
South Dempster Garage

Lutheran General provides the following services to assist you:

• Free shuttle buses operate from 6 a.m. to midnight Monday through Friday between the North Dempster parking areas and the hospital
• Valet parking is available at the hospital's east entrance (same fee as the South Dempster Garage)
• The Lutheran General Cancer Care Center also has valet services
• Guest Services can be contacted at 847-723-5624 to provide curbside ambulatory assistance for patients coming to the hospital
