Lutheran General's behavioral health services provide compassionate care for all age groups with a staff that includes physicians who are board certified in general psychiatry, child psychiatry and addiction medicine; clinical psychologists; neuropsychologists; licensed clinical social workers; marriage and family therapists; clinical professional counselors; and certified addiction counselors. Our multidisciplinary approach to mental health treatment also includes specially trained nurses and support staff, as well as referrals to dietitians and pastoral care counselors when needed.
Treatment options include outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient programs geared to meet each patient's specific needs. A full spectrum of mental, emotional and behavioral illnesses are treated including depression, anxiety and panic disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse and addiction, sleep disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, among many others. In addition, neuropsychiatric assessment is provided to identify cognitive impairment in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
