Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Welcomes Brad Tinkle, MD

Advocate Health Care is pleased to welcome Brad T. Tinkle, MD, PhD, to Advocate Medical Group – Park Ridge, located in the Parkside Center at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill.

In his role as medical director of clinical genetics, Dr. Tinkle provides: pediatric and adult clinical care, prenatal/family planning and cancer genetics care to patients; collaborates with genetic counselors to ensure patients are treated with exceptional care; and trains medical students and residents. 

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Tinkle to Advocate Medical Group,” said James R. Dan, MD, FACP, president of AMG. “He possesses a rare and valuable skillset that will help position Advocate as a leader in the area of clinical genetics.”

Dr. Tinkle earned a PhD in genetics from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind. He completed a residency in pediatrics/human genetics at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he subsequently was employed in a variety of roles.

Dr. Tinkle has had numerous articles and books published, and has provided lectures internationally on Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), an inherited disorder affecting connective tissues, as well as other subjects related to genetics and genetic disorders.

Dr. Tinkle is board-certified in pediatrics, clinical genetics and clinical molecular genetics. He is now accepting new patients.
