Lutheran General Receives Gold-Plus Award from American Heart Association
The American Heart Association has awarded Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Gold-Plus status associated with Get with the Guidelines Gold Award-stroke. The Gold Plus award is an advanced level of recognition given to hospitals who comply with Quality Measures within the Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Program.
To receive the award, Lutheran General achieved 75% compliance or higher for 5 or more of the following Stroke Quality Measures: dysphasia screening, stroke education, rehabilitation considered, door to IV rt-PA in 60 minutes, LDL Documented, Intensive Statin Therapy, IV rt-PA 3.5 hours, NIHSS Reported, LDL 100 or ND.
“The Gold Plus reward is recognition of Lutheran General Hospital's commitment to providing the highest quality patient care for patients with neurological disorders,” said Dr. Jerry Bauer, neurosurgeon, Co-Medical Director, Neuroscience Institute at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
The Get with the Guidelines-Stroke award recognizes hospitals for providing high quality of cardiovascular care to patients.
