The Women's Health Resource Center (WHRC) at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is located on the first floor of Yacktman Pavilion. The center enables women and their families to obtain information related to their medical and psychosocial health care needs.
Our facility houses a comprehensive library with more than 1,500 books, videos, and audiotapes for the public to loan. The center also offers journals, a literature file which features current articles and research trends, hundreds of brochures, Internet access, and software programs which focus on the latest in diagnosis and treatment options.
We continually educate associates and visitors about hospital services, support groups and community resources. Additionally, the center sponsors extensive women's health education programs in a variety of community and corporate locations to assist women in making more informed health care choices, and operates a Speaker's Bureau, providing tailored lectures on women's health topics for organizations, businesses and community groups.
The WHRC is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please contact us at:
