You will need to stay at the hospital for the transplant and will be there for about 3-4 weeks. You will have your own room with special filters to keep the air clean. Family and friends are welcome to visit.
Here is a list of things you may bring with you to the hospital:
- comfortable clothes
- jewelry (please do not bring anything valuable as the hospital cannot be responsible if it gets lost)
- rubber soled shoes or slippers
- hat, scarf, turban or wig
- your own soap, toothpaste and shampoo; softer toilet paper and tissue
- electric razor (no other razors can be used)
- pillow, blanket or comforter
- pictures of family or friends
- snacks in ziploc bags
Items to help pass the time:
- laptop
- books or magazines
- CD / DVD player / radio
- hobbies: knitting, stitching, crossword puzzles
- cell phone
