Above all else, we ask that our volunteers truly be interested in volunteering and have genuine concern for patients and families. In addition, we ask volunteers to adhere to the following basic program requirements:
- A minimum age requirement - 16 years of age
- Commit to one of our programs:
- Regular program - 4 hours a week for 6 months (minimum of 75 hours)
- Summer program - 8 hours a week for 8 weeks (a minium of 64 hours – June-August only)
- Participate in orientation, training and in-service programs
- Follow all Advocate Lutheran General Hospital policies and procedures
