Jennifer Debruler, M.D. Medical Doctor
Board certified in internal medicine and a board certified obesity medicine physician from the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Dr. Debruler has been in practice since 1995. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and served both an internship and residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Dr. Debruler has participated in research and presentations pertaining to women’s health and she is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Society of Bariatric Physicians. She specializes in weight management, women’s health and diabetes. Dr. Debruler brings a particular focus on preventative care and disease management to caring for every patient.

Jeffrey Rosen, M.D. Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Jeffrey Rosen is board certified in general surgery and has been in practice since 1993. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he also served his residency. Dr. Rosen has performed thousands of weight-loss surgeries and regularly teaches bariatric surgery to surgeons around the country. He is an affiliate clinical instructor at the Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his research has been published in various medical publications, including the Journal of Trauma and Surgical Endoscopy. Dr. Rosen is a member of various medical associations including American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Society for American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Marin Marinov, M.D., FACS Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Marin Marinov is a board-certified general surgeon and has been in practice since 1996. He received his medical degree from the Higher Medical Institute in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Dr. Marinov served his residency at University Hospital Queen Joanna in Sofia, Bulgaria, and a transplant surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois Medical Center. A clinical assistant professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Dr. Marinov’s has participated in various research projects, published numerous articles and presented research findings all over the world. He is a member of various medical associations including the Society of Critical Care Medicine and American College of Surgeons, in which he is a fellow.

Dr. Allen Mikhail, M.D. Bariatric Surgeon
Dr. Allen Mikhail is a board-certified general surgeon with specialized training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery from the Cleveland Clinic. He has served as the primary investigator on many research grants and has published numerous papers, abstracts and book chapters related to nutrition, laparoscopic gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery. Dr. Mikhail is a member of many professional and scientific societies including the American College of Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He has special interests in laparoscopic Roux-en Y gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, gastrointestinal surgery, adjustable gastric banding and endoscopic procedures.

Adriana M. Guerrero MS, CPT Exercise Physiologist
Adriana Guerrero is an exercise physiologist, ACE-certified personal trainer and ACSM health fitness specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Benedictine University. Her experience includes preparing patients for bariatric surgery, creating exercise programs for patients with metabolic conditions and patients in cardiac rehab.

Rosa Sanchez, BSN, RN Bariatric Coordinator
Rosa Sanchez is a registered nurse and bariatric coordinator. She received her diploma of nursing from Henry J. Kutsch School of Nursing and her Bachelor's of Nursing from Lewis University in 2002. Sanchez has extensive clinical experience in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She also brings a unique perspective to caring for patients, as she herself has undergone bariatric surgery and subsequently lost 154 pounds. Sanchez is a testament to the effectiveness of bariatric surgery, going from borderline diabetic to normal blood sugar, being able to come off blood pressure medication and becoming the mother of three after nearly 17 years of infertility.
