Weight management is more than numbers on a scale, calorie counts and exercise minutes. It is about changing your health for the future—for your life.
We’ve Been There Our weight management staff is unique in that many of our practitioners have walked in their patients’ shoes. Whether they have adopted one of our dietary programs or practice the imperative tools for long-term weight management, all of our staff members have a deep respect for their patients’ commitment to their health.
At Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, patients benefit from that experience. We offer a wealth of knowledge, helpful tools and the support that comes from having been there. Our program features weekly medical monitoring by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including:
- Medical doctor
- Behaviorist
- Clinician
- Registered dietitian
- Fitness specialist
On a monthly basis, patients are evaluated by a medical doctor where any physical changes are addressed. Patients meet monthly with a behaviorist to learn and reinforce new behavioral strategies imperative to their long-term success. Our goal is to help patients gain confidence throughout each step in the process.
