Our physicians are board certified in anesthesiology and pain management
- Mehul Sekhadia, DO, medical director is board certified in pain management and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing a residency in anesthesiology at Rush University Medical Center where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete his pain management fellowship at the prestigious Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Upon completion of his fellowship, he began his practice in both pain management and anesthesiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In addition he served as an instructor and later an assistant professor at Northwestern University-Feinberg School of Medicine. In addition he was also co-chair of the pain fellowship curriculum.
Dr. Sekhadia has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, multiple chapters in various pain management textbooks, given numerous lectures on a multitude of topics in pain management, as well as been an instructor for courses training other professionals on interventional pain therapies. Since December 2011, Dr. Sekhadia has served as director of the Advocate Lutheran General Interventional Pain Management Center.
- Simon M. Adanin, DO, is a board certified pain management specialist and board certified anesthesiologist. Dr. Adanin attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Chicago Medical Center in 2008. After the completion of his pain management fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center, Dr. Adanin became an assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain management at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he was involved in training residents and fellows in both anesthesiology and pain management. In 2010, he joined the medical staff at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Dr. Adanin also serves as a Co-Director of the Acute Perioperative Pain Management Service at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He has published several articles in journals and has participated in courses instructing other pain management professionals on various techniques.
- Jason Hennes, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in pain management and anesthesiology. He attended medical school at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center before completing his fellowship in pain management at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hennes has published chapters in text books and journals and has presented on several pain management and anesthesiology related topics. Since 2009, Dr. Hennes has been on staff at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital working with patients to help them effectively manage pain.
He also serves with Dr. Adanin as Co-Director of the Acute Perioperative Pain Management Service at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
