Nationally Recognized Rehabilitation Program
Patients at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital have access to one of the most highly regarded rehabilitation programs in the area. Accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), Lutheran General Hospital offers a full continuum of rehabilitation services.
Hospitalized patients are evaluated during their initial recovery and are treated on our acute inpatient rehabilitation unit to gain the function and skills needed for a successful return home. Patients recovering for longer periods can be followed and treated by our rehabilitation specialists at nearby subacute rehabilitation facilities.
Our outpatient rehabilitation services offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services delivered in a one-on-one setting by expertly trained specialists. Personalized treatment plans can include any number of special services, such as physical and occupational therapy for patients recovering from stroke and Botox, and baclofen pump administration for patients with multiple sclerosis or other conditions resulting in spasticity.
