Diagnostic imaging is often the first step in diagnosing and treating disease. New technological advancements now allow physicians to see inside the body - often without having to touch the patient. Imaging tests can examine bones, blood vessels and organs, allowing physicians to diagnose tumors, identify causes of internal pain and more - all quickly and with little or no discomfort.

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital offers a complete array of quality diagnostic radiography services. All services are provided by a staff of experienced, registered radiographers and board certified radiologists.

Our new, state-of-the-art Center for Advanced Imaging makes the testing experience more comfortable for our patients, offers more privacy for our patients and is designed to reduce the length of your visit with us.

As long as you have a physician's order, no appointment is necessary for general x-ray.
