A Full Range of Outpatient Services
Lutheran General Hospital makes it easy for you to access our outpatient services. Our Patient Resource Center offers a variety of routine hospital services without requiring a visit to the hospital. Conveniently located across the street, the center offers ample parking and accessible entry. Inside you’ll find diagnostic testing and patient teaching for adults scheduled for surgery; general x-ray and outpatient mammography exams; a phlebotomy lab that conducts routine blood, urine, stool and throat culture collections for adult patients, and outpatient electrocardiograms (EKGs).
Of course, some tests must be done at the hospital itself. Lutheran General offers a full spectrum of outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures not offered at many other facilities: cardiac catheterization; a vascular laboratory; advanced diagnostic imaging including photon emission tomography (PET) scanning (the only one in Northern Illinois), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computerized tomography (CT), ultrasound, radiology and x-ray procedures; a state-of-the-art gastrointestinal (GI) laboratory; fluoroscopy; wound care; hydrotherapy; and radiation oncology.
