The Counseling Center of Lutheran General Hospital.
For 30 years the Center has had a dual focus, providing high quality, faith-based psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples and families, and, in partnership with congregations and communities, providing education and skill training for healthy living. We remain committed to providing excellent care and education for those who seek Center Services.

Two characteristics distinguish Center Staff. First, they are thoroughly trained, fully licensed clinicians whose competence is maintained through continuing education and consultation. Second, they are selected as staff because they are knowledgeable of and sensitive to the faith and values dimensions which help people heal and reorder their lives and relationships.

Center clinicians provide confidential, cost-effective care for a range of life problems, psychological conditions and disorders. Referrals for medication evaluations are conveniently obtained through psychiatrists who regularly consult with our clients.

Growing is the educational offering written by Center staff on topics of interest to our clients. We have included with this website selected issues of Growing Articles. As you review these, consider inviting one of our staff to your congregation or community organization for a seminar or workshop. Our staff are excellent teachers and trainers, and we enjoy the opportunity to help people enhance the quality of their lives.
