Lutheran General Hospital’s physicians and health care professionals routinely provide presentations through the hospital’s Speakers’ Bureau at no charge to local businesses, associations and service organizations. Topics range from pediatric and parenting issues to diseases such as diabetes and cancer, dieting, fitness and stress reduction. The Lutheran General Fitness Center, located in the Parkside Center adjacent to the hospital, houses a four-lane, 25-yard swimming pool, an aerobic performance room featuring a variety of state-of-the-art cardiovascular exercise equipment, and a strength enhancement room with a full complement of specialized progressive resistance weight equipment. Services include individual testing and consultations, massage therapy, sports medicine, nutrition counseling, health lectures and special events.
