The Advocate's Center for Pediatric Research promotes and facilitates clinical trials and other research primarily at the Advocate Children's Hospital:
Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn
Advocate Children's Hospital - Park Ridge
Our mission is to improve children's health through research that is aimed at enhancing children's mental, physical, and/or social well-being.
The Center is responsible for the day-to-day administration of research activities at both children's hospitals. In addition to administrative oversight, the Center provides technical and methodological support; education; and collaborative assistance to researchers in the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical research. This allows for the highest quality of research to be conducted at our children's hospitals.

We are also members of networks such as:
This involvement affords us opportunities to be involved in the conduct or dissemination of the latest research.
Principles and Policies
The Center works closely with the Advocate Health Care Institutional Review Board to ensure research studies are designed to maximize benefits and minimize risks to children who participate in research. In addition, all human subject research conducted at Advocate Children's Hospital is conducted in accordance with the ethical principles outlined in the Belmont Report.
The Advocate Center for Pediatric Research serves as a central resource for researchers and families interested in pediatric research, as well as for sponsors of research (e.g., industry, Foundations).
