Record Keeping/Informational...
- How and where to get the information you need.
- Keep accurate records (dates, locations of previous mammograms, ultrasounds, and biopsies.)
- Know your insurance information and coverage (yearly mammograms, second opinions, comparison studies, etc.)
- Make sure the mammography facility you chose is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA). All of Advocate's sites are accredited.
- Obtain copies of all previous mammograms and results, if done at different facilities, for comparison purposes.
- Bring films and results to your mammogram appointment.
