Why Masonic: The strong sense of community and support within the program sold me on Masonic. I needed a program where I could learn how to doctor without the anxiety of disdain or punishment if I made a mistake. The faculty are patient focused, and encourage us to take into consideration the patient's whole life picture. Most importantly, the residents are individuals I am excited to learn from and spend time with, both in the hospital and life at large!
Personal interests: I love experimenting with new recipes, exploring Chicago's extensive variety of restaurants, spending time with friends, reading, and enjoying summer in Chicago (movies in the park, festivals galore, and more)! This is an amazing city to live in and I am privileged to have awesome fellow residents and friends who are willing to experience all Chicago has to offer with me :)
Professional interests: Ten years from now, I envision myself practicing at an urban, federally qualified health center, working with the underserved. Specifically, I am interested in preventive medicine, adolescent health, quality improvement and practice management.
