Last year, the Advocate Research and Innovation Forum 2013 at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital was a success, with over 190 attendees, and 91 posters summarizing scholarly works including case reports, case series, quality, safety, clinical trials, and population studies. We, in the Department of Research, are proud of the accomplishments of the Investigators and grateful for their continuous insight and quest for knowledge. We also thank the Hospitals, Departments, Programs and all Advocate physicians, nurses and associates that directly or indirectly support the many diverse research endeavors within Advocate. As we continue to focus on research, we serve our patients by not only practicing Evidence Based Medicine, but by also creating it.
In continuing the recognition of these endeavors, The Department of Research is proud to announce The Advocate Research and Innovation Forum 2014. The forum is open to all Advocate affiliated physicians, nurses, and associates to attend and network; and will continue as an opportunity for all Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Condell Medical Center, Good Shepherd Hospital, and Sherman Hospital affiliated physicians, nurses, and associates to present the research that they have conducted over the last year, as well as share ideas for future research projects. Akin to last year, this year’s Forum will be a collegial setting where sharing and discussion occurs within and between a host of disciplines.
