The growth and expansion of Advocate Christ Medical Center
Advocate Christ Medical Center faces a critical convergence of clinical opportunity and community need. In a relatively short period of time, we have developed world-class care capabilities and been recognized among the very best adult hospitals in the entire country by U.S. News and World Report, Truven Health Analytics’ 100 Top Hospitals® program and the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, among other organizations.
Our track record for excellence and our location in the fastest-growing region of the Chicago area have resulted in demand for services that far exceeds our current capacities. In response, to simultaneously advance world-class medical care for the people of Chicago’s Southland and beyond and to ensure that all area residents have access to that care when they need it, Christ Medical Center continues to implement visionary plans for growth.
To meet existing and future demand, Advocate Health Care is making unprecedented investments in both inpatient and outpatient facilities in Oak Lawn. The four-year, $650-million campus expansion project now underway is among the largest and most ambitious in the United States—and certainly the most justified.
The shape of what takes place on our campus will be greatly impacted by philanthropic gifts, as key donors and friends recognize their opportunity to influence many key elements of the plan.
Generous donors to Christ Medical Center have repeatedly made a profound difference in the quality of care available to area residents. But in our first five decades, no moment of opportunity has rivaled the one that now presents itself.
Our vision to secure our place among the nation’s best hospitals is within our reach. Our commitment to this vision and our passion for excellence will continue to drive us forward.
This is our time to lead. Please join us.
