Advocate's approach to excellence in speech therapy
Speech-language pathologists at Advocate Health Care help children and adults with a number of conditions. These disorders may be related to speech, language, and swallowing, or hearing and balance. Our therapists undertake continuing education to enhance their skills and provide advanced therapy services. All of our pediatric speech therapists hold a certificate of clinical competence by the governing body of the American Speech and Hearing Association, nationally recognized professional organization.

Advocate's pediatric speech-language pathologists provide evaluation and treatment to children and adolescents who are demonstrating speech, language, and/or feeding disorders due to a developmental delay, motor delay, or injury. A wide variety of disorders can be addressed, such as:
