Advocate South Suburban Hospital has 12 physicians on Top Doctors list
JULY 29, 2011 - Advocate South Suburban Hospital recently had 12 physicians on its medical staff named to the first "Top Doctors" list issued by U.S. News & World Report, with one physician being included among the top 1 percent of the nation's doctors.
The Advocate South Suburban Hospital physicians - including ophthalmologist, Thomas John, M.D., who was recognized among the top 1 percent of physicians - all were recommended for their clinical skills by other doctors. The physicians on the list were individually vetted by a physician-led research team that looked at training, achievements and appointments, among other credentials.

The U.S. News list was developed in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., the publisher of America's Top Doctors and other guides. This list draws from Castle Connolly's database of Top Doctors, and is reviewed by Castle Connolly's physician-led research team.
