Cardiac Catheterization Lab
When more information is needed, cardiac catheterization may be required to pinpoint blockages or abnormalities in the heart muscle, chambers, valves and coronary arteries. Our lab uses the most advanced and safest equipment available today for this procedure.
Computerized Tomography (CT)
Our advanced CT scan produces a series of detailed images that a conventional X-ray may not be able to detect. For our patients' convenience, CT services are available seven days a week.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Unlike traditional radiology methods, our state-of-the-art MRI allows physicians to view structures in the body using radio waves rather than radiation to create clearer images.
Vascular Laboratory
South Suburban Hospital was the first hospital in south Cook County to establish a vascular laboratory to diagnose artery and vascular disease. Accredited since 1991, the laboratory utilizes a non-invasive approach, which poses no risk to the patient and is less costly than surgical techniques.
