For Media Representatives only: When requesting information on Patient Condition Report If it is after hours (4:30pm - 8am) Monday -Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday, leave a voice message and someone will return your call. In media emergencies, ask the operator to page the Public Relations Manager. If you believe the patient was taken to our emergency room, and it is after hours, you may ask to speak with that department's nursing supervisor for information on the patient's condition*. *Please note that Advocate Trinity Hospital follows the MCHC and AHA guidelines, in accordance to the new Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines, for releasing patient information to the media. Therefore, you must know the patient's name before we will begin to investigate if the person is a patient in our facility. Please be aware knowing the patient's name does not guarantee that information will be released. New HIPAA guidelines require patients the opportunity to opt out of releasing information to the Media. Tour Groups Community Outreach and Health Education Programs
