Center will help people with Alzheimers
Advocate Lutheran General Hospital has a new facility to help patients and families deal with the challenge of Alzheimers disease and other kinds of memory loss.
The new Memory Assessment and Alzheimers Center, located on the hospitals campus in Park Ridge, brings geriatric medicine, social work and neuropsychology support services together under one roof. Experts at the center diagnose and treat memory loss conditions.
What is unique about the center is our ability to provide nearly all services, including primary care, to our patients, says William Rhoades, D.O., division chief of geriatrics at the hospital.
The new center provides education and support to the families of patients with Alzheimers and offers a caregivers support group.
