Location and staff
The School's offices, classrooms, lab and student facilities are located on the first and second floors of the Center for Education building (CFE) on the Illinois Masonic campus. Visitors should enter the main entrance of Illinois Masonic to receive directions to the School's facilities.

The School's staff consists of four full-time Advocate associates:
the director, two instructors and school secretary.

Parking and Transportation
Parking is available to students for $2.00 per day. Vouchers are available only for parking during school hours.

Campus security
Advocate Illinois Masonic's public safety department is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, staff and student associates.

The public safety department is responsible for protecting patients, visitors, students and staff in the various hospital buildings, grounds and satellite facilities making up the Medical Center Campus. The basic responsibilities of the public safety department are:

• Enforcement of laws and ordinances
• Response to criminal and health/safety incidents/situations on campus
• Investigation of crimes and traffic accidents and other disorders
• Maintenance of records relative to incidents occurring on campus
• Regulation and control of traffic
• Protection of Illinois Masonic buildings, grounds, property, patients, visitors and associates (staff and students).

The public safety department utilizes quality management techniques to gather data to form trends and patterns of security problems and issues. This information is used to prevent or abate these situations from reoccurrence. The department performs investigations of incidents or conditions as needed and maintains records of daily security activities and incidents.

Security and safety is established and maintained through 24-hour patrol of the campus, video camera surveillance, alarms, locks, required associate identification, key card access to locations/areas where necessary and security escort as needed. The department maintains crime statistics, and an annual report is published and distributed to students each October. The department's policies and crime statistics are available for viewing in the public safety department office. Drug-free workplace & workforce
Advocate Health Care is determined to maintain a workplace and workforce free of drug and alcohol abuse. Advocate requires that all associates and students be free from drugs while at work or in School. Advocate's policies on drug and alcohol abuse prevention and prohibition provide information consistent with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (Public Law 101-690). School associates and students are oriented to this information including actions the School will take and impose for violations of its Drug-Free Workplace and Workforce Policy.
