About the School
Advocate Illinois Masonic School of Radiologic Technology carries a rich and long-standing history in radiologic technology education. Formerly Advocate Ravenswood Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology (founded in 1935), today's program is sponsored by Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

The program takes pride that its graduates are meeting the health care needs of metropolitan Chicago and the diagnostic health needs of communities as far reaching as Alaska, Hawaii and Europe.

In this full-time, two-year program, students receive highly diversified instruction in radiation physics, radiation biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology and radiographic procedures. Clinical course work includes assignments in general diagnostic procedures, computerized tomography (CT) and other specialized imaging fields. Graduation from the program prepares students for national and state certification eligibility.

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center stands at the heart of Chicago's most diverse community - a crossroads of ethnic groups, lifestyles, economic classes and ages. The hospital is located in the Lakeview neighborhood, located on the north side of the city, and is easily accessible to public transportation, including a nearby CTA Brown Line el stop. A 551-bed hospital designated with a Level I trauma and Level III perinatal, obstetric and women's center, Advocate Illinois Masonic is known as a medical center with the latest treatments and state-of-the-art technology.
