Student Handbook

The Student Handbook identifies the educational and organizational plan, policies and guides of the program.

The handbook reviews School catalogue information, outlines and explains the clinical educational plan of the program, School regulatory guides and protocols, and Advocate Health Care policies applicable to students of the program.

Before enrollment
Before admission, and just prior to the interview, applicants must review the current published Student Handbook. To assure appropriate disclosure, applicants are guided to review specific policies i.e. due process, student pregnancy, grading system and calculation, clinical and academic evaluation, graduation requirements, tuition, fees, reimbursement, educational resources, student services, Code of Student Conduct, etc. These policies are discussed in the interview.

After enrollment
Students receive a copy of the Student Handbook on the first day of their orientation to the program. Handbook information is reviewed extensively with new students of the program.
