About the Program

Advocate Trinity Hospital School of Radiologic Technology was founded in 1968 and became accredited by the American Medical Association in 1969.

The curriculum includes:

• 40 sixty-minute contact hours per week of classroom and clinical education (full-time required attendance)
• college credit courses (offered at a nearby junior college institution)
• attendance at additional clinical affiliation(s) for the enhancement of radiologic technology procedures and to introduce the student to expanded radiologic technology programs

Completion of the program is 24-months.

Graduates of the school are eligible to sit for certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, to be administered through computer testing. Graduates may pursue employment as entry-level radiographers performing diagnostic radiography procedures in health care institutions such as hospitals, clinics, and doctor's offices.

This committee establishes, maintains and promotes the educational standards of Radiologic Sciences. The JRCERT is recognized by the United States Department of Education as the accrediting body of radiologic science programs.
