Academic Standing

Grading
To maintain good academic standing, each student must:

1. Maintain a 2.0 or higher cumulative grade point index.
2. Maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average for each grading period.
3. Receive a C or better for each course (didactic and clinical).

Advanced Standing
As a means to promote scholarship and initiative on the part of superior students, those students who have completed all program requirements, excluding the Final Competency Examination, and have attained a 3.5 cumulative grade point index.

Withdrawal

1. A letter of resignation stating the reason(s) must be submitted to the Program Director.
2. Withdrawal without notice will result in forfeiture of all claims to refund of fees, and transcript release.

Refund Policy
Reimbursement is based upon a pro-rata schedule. Please contact the school for more information.

Transfer Students
The admissions committee will review and address the qualifications of transfer. Due to the disparity in programs, the acceptance of transfer is based on, but not limited to the following items:

The Transferee must:

1. Transfer from a fully accredited Radiologic Program, (JRCERT accreditation).
2. Successfully complete a minimum of one-year consecutive radiologic technology education from the transferring institution, within the previous two years.
3. Have maintained a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher.
4. Show no evidence of below average (C) an or failure grades obtained in a didactic or clinical related course.
5. Submit an official transcript from the transferring institution.
6. Have successfully completed Trinity Hospital School of Radiologic Technology's testing and admission standard procedure.

Advance Placement
All students entering the radiologic technology program are required to participate in and successfully complete or show evidence of successful completion of all didactic and clinical courses.

Credit will be issued for Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology. Completion of the course(s) must be within five years at an accredited higher educational institution, and a letter grade of "C" or better is required.

General Program Attendance
Both classroom and clinical education phases of the program are combined to form a forty-hour week. Daily and regular attendance is required for all scheduled sessions. The student must be available for an eight hour day between the hours of 6:00 am - 5:00 pm unless otherwise defined in the semesters clinical plan.

Clinical rotations will include weekdays, evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and Midnights. Students are made aware of this prior to entering the program and must be able to adjust their schedules accordingly. Request for clinical schedules changes to accommodate employment will NOT be honored.

Students will NOT be scheduled for more than forty hours per week.

Graduation
A student who completes all educational and financial requirements will be awarded a diploma and class pin upon program completion.

Graduates are eligible for a period of two years to take the National Registry Examination in Radiography administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Honors
Each year, awards are presented to those graduating students who have demonstrated excellence in scholastic and extra-curricular achievements.

Distinction: Students who have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher at the end of semester IV, and who have passed (:C" or higher) all courses and who have not been suspended from the program.

A grade report is mailed to each student at the end of each semester and summer session.
