About the Program

Completion of the Respiratory Care Program is approximately 21 months. Attendance is full-time, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Upon successful completion of the Respiratory Care Program, you will receive an Associate Degree in Applied Science degree, which will allow you to sit for the entry level (CRT) and advanced (RRT) national respiratory therapy examinations.

Accreditation
The Respiratory Care Program is in the process of seeking its Initial Accreditation (Provisional Accreditation) from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in collaboration with the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). The program is on track with the accreditation process and is in good standing with the CoARC.

Chemistry 100 - Basic Chemical Applications
English 101 - Composition
Biology 116 or Biology 226 and 227 - Anatomy and Physiology
Biology 120 - Medical Terminology
Math 118 or higher

Clinical rotations may be held at any of our 14 clinical affiliates. The clinical rotations are conducted in acute care hospitals, sub acute centers, long term acute care, home care, pediatric hospitals and rehabilitation centers.
