Family Medicine Residency Application

1. How do I apply to the program?
Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our program is dually accredited through both the ACGME and AOA.

2. Application Procedure
Applications for the NRMP Match are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS). For further assistance in ERAS applications, medical students can contact their Dean’s office. We further require:

M.D. or D.O. degree within the past three years
Three letters of reference from faculty members or preceptors
Dean’s letter
Medical school transcript and board scores
Personal statement that expresses interest specifically in family medicine

3. What should you expect at the interview?
Our formal interview process is designed to serve as a friendly exchange of information and enable you to make an informed choice about your residency training. You will meet several faculty and resident physicians and have the opportunity to ask questions. You will be given a tour of the Christ Family Medicine Center, Advocate Christ Medical Center and the adjoining Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital. After your interview, we encourage you to contact our faculty or residents for further information regarding our program.
