Family Medicine Residency Program Residents |
Message from the Chairman
Christ Medical Center offers a wide array of patient types and thus provides an excellent opportunity for the education of new physicians. All areas of medicine are represented on our medical staff, offering a wide range of opportunity for elective rotations. Many of our specialty physicians are well known in their field and are happy to interact with our resident physicians in a teaching capacity. Our department has a wonderful working relationship with all of the sub-specialists, allowing us to participate in all aspects of our patients’ care and maintain our role as the primary care physician. Hope Children’s Hospital provides a unique on-site location to learn pediatric medicine. It is comprised of general pediatric beds, as well as pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. The Family Medicine residents play an active role here, both on the pediatric rotation, as well as while rotating on the in-patient Family Medicine Service. The Family Medicine Center, which is located only minutes away from the Medical Center, is a modern site for residents to learn the skills necessary to become efficient and competent primary care providers. The outpatient training received at our program is unsurpassed, providing continuity of care and community service for the local population. Residents follow their assigned patients throughout the three years of training and often these patients will follow a resident into private practice. Family Medicine physicians at our institution are well-respected and integral members of the medical staff. Many of our department members play key roles on hospital committees as well as in medical staff leadership PHO leadership. Linda Evans-Beckman, M.D. |
