Conferences and Events
Each year, Advocate Health Care hosts a Dimensions of Excellence Conference. This event allows Advocate associates from across the system to come together to learn about and celebrate quality improvement, ethics and research.
The CQI Expo is a decade-old tradition that advances Advocate's continuous quality improvement (CQI) culture. CQI is a standard of practice defined as learning, collaborating and improving. The Dimensions of Excellence Conference features posters that demonstrate how CQI is being applied across the system to achieve Advocate's strategic initiatives.
Advocate's annual Ethics Conference brings together ethical theory and practical application to the delivery of health care. As a faith-based health care delivery system, Advocate holds that ethical considerations are part of everyday behavior. The Ethics of Excellence track explores clinical and administrative decision making processes in the context of Advocate's Mission,Values and Philosophy.
The annual Naurice M. Nesset Research Forum portion of Dimensions of Excellence provides a venue for Advocate investigators to present the results of their research projects conducted, in part or in whole, at Advocate sites of care. The findings represent the contributions of physicians, nurses, chaplains, ethicists and associated health professionals who have joined together in the spirit of scientific inquiry. Their research contributes to the body of knowledge that has, as its ultimate goal, the delivery of quality care and improvement of health. It also is an opportunity to celebrate the scholarly activities throughout the system.
