
Application Procedure
Applications for the NRMP match are accepted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). For further assistance in ERAS applications, the student is to contact their dean's office. We further require:
- M.D. or D.O. degree within the past three years
- Two letters of reference from faculty members or preceptors
- Dean's letter
- Medical school transcript and board scores
- Personal statement that expresses interest specifically in family medicine
If you plan to apply to our three-year Family Practice Residency through the
Osteopathic Internship Track, submit your application directly to the Advocate Illinois Masonic Traditional and Family Practice-Focused Rotating Osteopathic Internship If you have any questions about how to do this, contact Christine Curry at 773-296-8248.
International medical graduates who meet these further criteria may be considered for phone interview:
- M.D. degree within the past three years
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (we do not sponsor visas)
- Completion of both USMLE Step I and II with scores above 78 on the first attempt
- Valid ECFMG certificate (past graduates) including English competency
