Evidence-Based Medical Curriculum
We believe in providing our patients with the most up-to-date treatments, proven through large, randomized clinical trials and incorporated in published guidelines. With medical knowledge expanding at a rapid pace, it is increasingly difficult to remain current with the medical literature. It is important not just to know the facts, but also how to access and evaluate clinical information and apply it to patient care. Therefore, we incorporate evidence-based medicine throughout our curriculum - in morning reports, noon conferences, journal clubs and teaching rounds, so that it becomes part of the daily practice.

Internet access throughout the floors enables residents to have the latest information immediately available for patient care. Rapid access to resources such as Ovid, Up To Date, MD Consult, online medical textbooks, combined with a state-of-the-art intranet, provides a powerful tool for our residency training.
