Graduate Medical Education Mission Statement

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, in partnership with, and with the support of the medical staff and the Governing Council, is committed to excellence in both patient care and medical education.

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, through the Department of Medical Education and the Education and Research Committee, will provide the necessary educational, financial, and human resources to support graduate medical education programs which are consistent with the Advocate Health Care mission, values and philosophy. All residency/ fellowship programs sponsored and/or administered by Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center will provide an organized educational environment with guidance and supervision of the residents, facilitating the resident’s ethical, educational, professional, and personal development while ensuring safe and appropriate care for patients and compliance with the General and Special requirements of the appropriate accrediting council.
