| PURPOSE: |

To establish a procedure to ensure the fair and equitable treatment of Residents/ Fellows who have disabilities. |
| POLICY: |

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (AIMMC) and the Medical Education Department fully support the recruitment and training of qualified Residents/Fellows who successfully meet the essential elements of their discipline with or without reasonable accommodation. |
Procedure
- In keeping with the mandate of Advocate Health Care, AIMMC and the Medical Education Department are committed to the practice of assisting Residents/Fellows in realizing their full vocational potential.
- As an employed Associate of Advocate Health Care, all Residents/Fellows are subject to the Advocate System Policy #90.013.001 Reasonable Accommodation Committee.
- This policy will be reviewed with the Resident/Fellow at Orientation.
- Program Directors of sponsored and administered Residency Programs will be oriented to this policy.
