BCLS Instruction |
| PURPOSE: |

To ensure that residents are trained in Basic Cardiac Life Support. |
| POLICY: |
|
All residents will receive training in BCLS prior to the beginning of the residency program and as required thereafter. |
Procedure
- All residency program directors will obtain from the incoming resident information on their BCLS status.
- All residents that are not certified in BCLS will receive BCLS training the week of Orientation.
- The hospital will provide BCLS courses on a regular basis to maintain the proficiency of residents.
